Rich & Paula Barnds
Current Ministry: Church Planting
Mission Board: Biblical Ministries Worldwide www.biblicalministries.org
They have served the Lord as church planters in Europe since 1987. While living in Vienna they were involved with the International Chapel of Vienna, as well as The Eastern European Bible Institute. In 1992, they traveled for the first time to the country of Croatia. For the next three years they became more involved and moved to the city of Sisak, Croatia. Through their involvement with local believers they were able to assist in re-building a church. It had been closed during the war that raged from 1991 to 1995. Then God allowed them to be instrumental in the starting of two new churches in this area of Croatia. God closed the door to their ministry there in 2005.
The Littleport Evangelical Church:“A Church Restoration Ministry” In England there are hundreds of Bible believing, Bible teaching churches without pastors. Rich and Paula were led to just such a church. They are excited about their new ministry of coming alongside a small existing congregation. With God’s help, Rich and Paula will lead them in evangelism, discipleship and leadership training. The ultimate goal is to see the Littleport Evangelical Church restored to its former position as a gospel lighthouse, having its own national pastor. Creative Evangelism Rich and Paula have used a number of different means to reach people over the years with the gospel. They are excited to be a part of an evangelistic children’s ministry, “The Tree House Club”, that has many kids coming out every Friday night. There is a vision to see the church grow through the children’s ministry.
Their outreach is characterized in the following statement: “Reaching people by building relationships through which one earns the right to share the gospel of Jesus Christ” Our Purpose “Whom we preach (evangelization), warning everyman (exhortation), and teaching everyman (discipleship) in all wisdom, that we might present everyman perfect in Christ Jesus.” Colossians. 1:28
